Senior Subsea Pipeline Engineer

CTI provides a wide range of consulting services for various project phases such as Front End Engineering and Design (FEED), Detailed Design, Procurement, Construction Management, Inspection, and Commissioning.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
CTI is currently hiring qualified Senior Subsea Pipeline Engineers with marine pipeline and riser design experience including ample knowledge of industry standards, codes (API, ASME, DNV) and regulations. Successful candidates will plan, schedule, conduct and/or coordinate the design of pipelines, risers and related facilities for shallow and deepwater subsea developments.

Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Supervise a team of engineers and serve as the primary interface with the client for technical issues
  • Conduct engineering analysis and design such as; route selection, wall thickness design, span analysis, stability analysis, cathodic protection design, buckling analysis and installation analysis
  • Develop scope of work documents for engineering, survey and construction
  • Perform quality assurance reviews on technical work performed by others
  • Supervise and review regulatory permits, technical reports, specifications and drawings
  • Mentor entry level engineers and assist in the development of subsea pipeline/riser design and analysis methodologies
Competencies and Experience:
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in the oil & gas industry with a minimum of two (2) years experience in subsea pipeline and riser design is required
  • Experience in performance pipeline spanning and buckling analyses using non-linear finite element tools such as ANSYS or ABAQUS is preferred
  • Ability to coordinate and execute multiple projects simultaneously, coupled with the ability to plan and perform work in a team environment or independently is required
  • Good written and oral communication skills in the English language is required
  • Experience with standard industry software such as MathCAD, Orcaflex, PRCI/AGA OBS,Solidworks™, ANSYS, ABAQUS, OffPipe is preferred
  • Proficiency with software MS Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook) is required
Education and Registrations:
  • Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Ocean) is required
  • PE license is preferred
