Chevron's Blind Faith project consisted of a drill center tied back to a newly installed semi-submersible floating platform host facility located in Mississippi Canyon Block 650, with oil and gas export pipelines that connect to the host facility by means of steel catenary risers (SCRs). The drill center is located approximately seven (7) miles away from the host facility and is connected to the host facility with two (2) 7 5/8" production flowlines and one (1) control umbilical.

Production from the drill center is gathered in a manifold and transported back to the host facility through the above flowlines. The wells and manifold are controlled with the previously described control umbilical. Produced oil and gas are then exported through the export pipelines.
