The Lobito and Tomboco fields are located in Block 14 approximately 50 miles offshore Cabinda, Angola in West Africa. The water depths in the field ranges from 365 meters to 525 meters.

CTI engineering and construction management personnel were integrated into the Chevron Lobito-Tomboco Pipeline Installation Team to provide engineering support, hook-up and commissioning (HUC) expertise, and onshore and offshore inspection services.
CTI engineering and construction management personnel performed the following activities:

Planned and executed the HUC of thirteen (13) flowlines, thirteen (13) subsea riser jumpers and three (3) umbilicals on the Benguela Belize Platform, while the platform was in the drilling and production phase

Served as the Lobito-Tomboco Project primary contact to the Benguela-Belize project and operations teams for the development and execution of an overall field coordination plan

Reviewed and approved installation contractor procedures for the HUC work scope and ensured the installation contractor understood, incorporated and followed the standard operating procedures and work permit requirements implemented by Chevron for the project

Provided onshore technical support during the offshore installation and HUC campaign

Supported and monitored Pipeline End Termination (PLET) fabrication, Health, Environment, and Saftey (HES) compliance, and logistics for project personnel and vessels operating in Angola

Provided company representation aboard the offshore pipelay and survey vessels, overseeing the installation of flowlines and PLETs, subsea flowline flooding, gauging and testing work, and assurance of HES compliance
