CTI has been integrated into the Shell Olympus TLP Installation team to provide engineering support, project management, interface management and installation expertise. The Olympus TLP is part of the Mars field development which is located in the Mississippi Canyon area of the Gulf of Mexico, approximately 130 miles south of New Orleans, Louisiana. The Olympus TLP will be moored in about 3,000 feet of water, with direct vertical access and subsea wells. The Olympus Topsides consist of multiple modules and are capable of producing 100,000 BOPD oil and 180 MMSCFD gas with water-flood capacity of 80 MBPD. First production from the Olympus TLP is expected in mid 2015.
CTI's responsibilities for this project included the following:
Installation
CTI personnel; will perform the following functions:

Supply project management services for the installation of the piles, tendons, TSBs, flare boom and hull

Serve as the primary interface for all mooring and hull installation activities during fabrication and installation phases

Review installation procedures for the piles, tendons, TSBs, flare boom and hull

Verify contractor compliance with Shell's standard operating procedures and work permit requirements

Provide offshore technical support during the offshore installation activities

Support and monitor mooring fabrication, Health, Environment, and Safety (HES) compliance, and logistics for personnel and vessels used during the installation campaign
