Mafumeira Sul Project
Angola
Mafumeira Sul Project (MSP) is located in the southern portion of Block 0, offshore Cabinda province, Republic of Angola. This work is being performed as part of the provision of infrastructure facilities for the development of the Mafumeira Field, with a majority of the new development in ~160 feet of water. This development will include the Central Production Complex (CPC) consisting of three bridge-connected platforms, the Production Processing Platform (PPP), the Living Quarters Platform (LQP), and a Flare Tripod and two remote Wellhead Platforms, Mafumeira Centro and Mafumeira Sul Wellhead Platforms (WHP), and thirteen (13) submarine pipelines and two (2) power cables.

The submarine pipeline work scope includes three (3) gas lift pipelines, three (3) water injection pipelines, one (1) gas injection pipeline, three (3) production pipelines, one (1) LPG pipeline, one (1) gas export pipeline, and one (1) oil export pipeline to shore.

CTI is performing the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) for the submarine pipelines and subsea tie-in spools, with engineering and project management responsibilities for this project including the following:
  • Provide Project Management & Interface Coordination between Chevron and EDG,
  • Provide Project Controls,
  • Provide Construction Management for the preparation of the EPIC Bid Package for the submarine pipelines, power cable, and subsea tie-in spools, incorporating the results of the engineering and drafting performed on the project,
  • Perform the FEED for the thirteen (13) pipelines including
  • Design report for pipeline wall thickness
  • Design report for riser and subsea tie-in spool wall thickness
  • Design report cathodic protection
  • stability analysis of all pipelines
  • Hydraulic analysis of all pipelines
  • Preparation of the Basis of Design for the EPIC Bid Package
  • Preparation of the Final FEED Report
  • Provide a Class 3 Cost Estimate for the pipeline and appurtenance work scope, and provide input for the Integrated Project Schedule.
  • Provide drafting for approximately 50 drawings of the pipeline route details, subsea tie-in spool designs, and cathodic protection anode details.
