This subsea pipeline and platform facilities project entailed the detailed engineering, procurement, and installation of approximately 2,000 feet of 12" pipe from a new subsea hot-tap on an existing 20" pipeline to a platform located in the South Marsh Island Block 205 area of the Gulf of Mexico.
The project also included the installation of a new 12" fixed riser, the installation of necessary topside facilities at South Marsh Island Block 205 to redirect two (2) 16" pipelines, and the installation of necessary topsides facilities to reverse the direction of flow of a 20" pipeline. The topsides facilities consisted of a pig launcher, LACT skids, a prover loop skid, and all associated valves to these facilities.
CTI project management and construction personnel were integrated into the Project Team to provide project management support and construction expertise in pipeline and topside facility construction during both the planning and execution phases of the project, performing the following functions:
-
Management of the procurement of key project materials
-
Management of pre-mobilization project engineering and planning activities
-
Offshore construction management and support
-
Onshore and offshore inspection services
