Takula Water Injection Expansion Project
Angola
The Takula Water Injection Expansion Project (TWE) is located in the southern portion of Block 0, offshore Cabinda Province, Republic of Angola. The goal of the project is to increase oil recovery (thus decreasing the recovery decline) by expanding the Takula water injection capabilities to strategic reservoirs. The focus is to provide water injection capability at Takula Charlie (TK-C) Wellhead Platform (WHP) with water sourced from the Takula Water Injection Platform (TWIP).

The submarine pipeline work scope includes one (1) water injection pipeline and two (2) risers.

CTI is performing the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) for the submarine pipeline, subsea tie-in spools, and risers, with engineering and project management responsibilities for this project including the following:

  • Provide Project Management for the pipeline portion,
  • Provide Project Controls for the pipeline portion,
  • Perform the FEED for the pipeline and risers including:
  • Design report for pipeline, risers, and tie-in spools wall thickness
  • Design report for cathodic protection
  • On-bottom stability analysis
  • Steady State hydraulic analysis
  • Preparation of the Basis of Design for the pipeline and risers
  • Riser design and VIV analysis
  • Tie-in spool flexibility analysis and expansion analysis
  • Pipeline crossing design
  • Preparation of the Final FEED Report
  • Provide a Class 3 Cost Estimate for the pipeline and risers, and provide input for the Integrated Project Schedule,
  • Provide drafting for approximately 25 drawings of the pipeline route details, alignment sheets, subsea tie-in spool designs, riser and riser clamp designs, pipeline crossings, and cathodic protection anode details,
  • Provide RFQ Packages for line pipe, riser pipe, anodes, flanges and fittings, and crossing mattresses, including Data Sheets.
