
The WC Block 62 Pipeline Project (TWE) is located in the West Cameron Block 62 area of the Gulf of Mexico, within the Calcasieu Ship Channel south of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Enbridge's 12-in Triton gas pipeline was damaged by dredging operation in the Calcasieu Ship Channel. It was decided to repair the pipeline by laying approximately 1800 feet of new pipe outside the channel, executing a Horizontal Directional Drill (HDD) underneath the channel, pulling the new pipe back through the drilled hole, and making flanged tie-ins to the existing pipe on both ends.
At the request of Enbridge, CTI project management and engineering performed the following tasks during the planning and execution phases of the pipeline repair:
