Genesis Energy– Lucius Oil Export Pipeline

The Lucius Oil Export Pipeline is an 18″ pipeline from the new Lucius Development in Keathley Canyon (KC), an undersea canyon in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM) Area Block 875 to the South Marsh Island (SMI) Area Block 205 Platform. The system is designed for ANSI 1500 pressure rating. The pipeline is comprised of three sections:

  • South section: Newly laid 71-mile pipeline with a water depth range of 7,025 to 5,300 feet. Two inline wye assemblies are included for future tie-ins.
  • Midsection: Utilized a portion of the existing 18-inch Phoenix pipeline, approximately 48 miles long, with a water depth range of 5,300 to 2,395 feet.
  • North section: Newly laid 26-mile pipeline with a water depth range of 2,395 to 445 feet.

In addition, a new 4,000-foot-long 6-inch fuel gas pipeline and riser will connect the Platform in SMI 205 to a hot tap on the 30-inch Garden Banks gas pipeline.
